eHealth Leads Council

As noted in the first edition of the LHIN e-Health Leads Council's newsletter, "LHINs will be the key vehicle for the delivery of health system integration initiatives at a regional level within Ontario. e-Health is a fundamental enabler to integration, and has been identified as a key priority by LHINs and the ministry."

In January 2006, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care enlisted the LHIN e-Health leads, representatives from the LHIN CEOs, provincial health care organizations, consultants, Ministry staff and others to begin the task of addressing this key priority.

On a regular basis, the Council will be distributing their newsletters.  Please click on the link below to view the first newsletter and stay tuned to this site for future editions.

1 Mail1

The NSM LHIN e-Health Advisory Committee is moving forward with the ONE® Mail implementation project, a key component of the information and technology strategy outlined in the LHIN's Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP).

Partnering with eHealth Ontario (eHO) the NSM LHIN is aiming to connect all health service providers in the LHIN through ONE® Network and ONE® Mail, a no-charge, high-speed internet connection and a secure and private electronic mail system, within 12 months.

The NSM LHIN and eHO are hosting information sessions for health service providers.  For more information about these sessions, please contact Helen Lefebvre.
