ER/ALC Quarterly Stocktake Report
July 2009 Report
April 2009 Report
The NSM LHIN completed its first ER/ALC Quarterly Stocktake Report and held its first ER/ALC Quarterly Results Meeting with Ken Deane, Assistant Deputy Minister, Health System Accountability and Performance on May 8, 2009. The report demonstrates progress toward the goals of the ER/ALC Strategy at the provincial and LHIN levels. It reports on measures that are reported to the public, as well as the system and supplementary measures outlined in agreements between each LHIN and the MOHLTC. The Quarterly Stocktake Report is used to drive transparent performance discussions between the ADM and LHIN CEOs at the Quarterly Results Meetings.
The three key goals of the ER/ALC strategy are to:
- Reduce ER demand;
- Increase ER capacity and performance through reduced ER length of stay; and
- Improve bed utilization by reducing the percentage of ALC days and ALC length of stay.
