New Emergency Department (ED) Physician Lead to Join North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN

The North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network (NSM LHIN) is pleased to announce Dr. Kylie Bosman as the successful candidate for the Emergency Department Lead position. Dr. Bosman will work one day a week to implement improvements in emergency service strategies to improve patient experiences in North Simcoe Muskoka.

 

Dr. Bosman will advance the initiatives of the Emergency Department Steering Committee under the direction of Dr. Rebecca Van Iersel, the NSM LHIN’s Vice-President Clinical. She will work to build strong partnerships with local physicians and accelerate existing efforts for positive change to health-care service delivery across North Simcoe Muskoka’s six emergency departments.

As a respected clinician in our community, Dr. Bosman will represent the NSM LHIN within clinical leadership tables in North Simcoe Muskoka as well as across the province. In doing this, Dr. Bosman will identify emergency department-specific quality and improvement issues, and provide strategic advice to the LHIN senior leadership team.

About Dr. Kylie Bosman, MD CCFP (EM)
Dr. Bosman will bring experience to the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN from her role as Chief of Emergency Medicine at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Dr. Bosman’s degree is from the University of Toronto, and she holds faculty appointments in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and McMaster University. Dr. Bosman is a Master Instructor with the Canadian Emergency Ultrasound Society and is active in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Dr. Bosman has received awards for teaching excellence and continues to present at various professional meetings in Emergency Medicine. Not only is Dr. Bosman a mentor in her professional life, she also a proud mother of two.

Dr. Bosman will begin her work with the NSM LHIN immediately.
