NSM LHIN Board of Directors
The North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network (NSM LHIN) is seeking expressions of interest for its Board of Directors.
Currently there is one vacancy available with three additional vacancies to become available in April, 2011, May, 2011 and June, 2011 including the position of Board Chair. To apply, an application form quoting file number PAS -1090 (for Board Director), or PAS -1091 (for Board Chair), must be received by November 30, 2010.
The North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN Board is responsible for directing the affairs of the LHIN in accordance with applicable legislation, constituting documents, approved strategic and business plans and government policies established and communicated by the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.
Directors and Chair are appointed by Order-In-Council for a term of up to three years and may be reappointed for one further term.
Appointment to the NSM LHIN Board includes involvement in Board and Board Committee meetings and/or teleconferences, education sessions, community engagement activities.
In consideration of applications to complete the skill set of the current Board membership, individuals who have Board experience, governance background, an interest in the health care system, and experience in one or more of business, health care, public administration, finance, law, human resources, communications or information management, are being sought.
In consideration of applications for the position of Board Chair, as well as the above experience, interests and skill sets, only applicants with proven leadership, a comprehensive understanding of the LHIN and government objectives, chief spokesperson experience, and an understanding of sound financial, operational business and governance processes and practices will be considered.
